How to PurchaseA Coon Cat
Our Jellico Dream Maine Coon kittens and occasionally retired adults are sold as pets to loving homes. We do not sell cats for breeding or with breeding rights. Kittens are sold as family pets only with a purchase agreement. Once individual kittens are posted on this website with their temporary names, prices are located next to their individual name and description.
If you see a kitten you would like to purchase that is listed as available on our website, please contact us with your request to purchase. A $500 non-refundable holding fee and signed purchase agreement is required to place a kitten on hold for you. The holding fee is applied towards the total purchase price if the balance is paid when due, which is 1 week before pickup by you or your pet transport service if paying by cashier’s check, or 2 weeks before pickup if paying by personal check. Please talk with your family, and be sure you are ready to commit to welcoming a Maine Coon Kitten into your life prior to placing the non-refundable holding fee.
Kittens are ready to leave for their forever homes at 10 to 12 weeks of age. I believe “first come, first served” is for inanimate objects that don’t need love, so I want to know a little about you and your interest in Maine Coons as part of the process. These beautiful little love monsters are hard for me to let go, and I can only sell them if I know I am making both a good owner and the kitten very happy.
We can recommend accommodations in the area if you are picking up in person and require an overnight stay. If you are unable to pick up in person, we can meet you or an approved flight nanny at the Dothan, Panama City, Tallahassee, or Montgomery airports without charge from us, or if dates are coordinated, the Birmingham or Atlanta airport. We can also recommend a professional transporter who will safely hand deliver your kitten to your home or any major airport in the United States. Their prices vary by location. We DO NOT ship kittens as cargo.
Because we are not a first come first served business, we do not keep a waiting list or accept holding fees for unborn kittens. We do keep a “short list” of interested buyers and their specific interests, so that we can reach out when we think we have a good match. We also try to keep our website up to date so that you can find when our next litters are expected and when kittens are available for reservation under the Available Coon Kittens section of this site.
